User:Defordo/sandbox

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Defordo/sandbox, also known as the user sandbox of Defordo, is an unlisted page on the Wikipedia.org website which provides an individual user with a practice space so that they have an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the editing and publishing tools offered by Wikipedia. In the case of Defordo, this user sandbox was first established and discovered on November 28, 2022 when Wikipedia Explorer & Former Donator David S. Do decided to contribute to the Wikipedia community somehow but saw that it would be necessary and appropriate for him to undertake such a practice session before taking any actions that may effect the live pages of Wikipedia. According to some estimates, David overstayed his welcome and quickly left the sandbox within the next few minutes[1] after being accused of procrastination and having spent a reported 20 minutes more than he wanted[2] on doing nothing productive.

History

[edit]

The history of the sandbox is not well known and has been described by David as being, "short in comparison to the amount of grief its founder exerts on himself." However, historians would argue that it doesn't have any history whatsoever, because it's not real.

Government

[edit]

Policies dating as far back as 2006[3], when David first set out to accomplishing his dreams and goals, the Defordo Sandbox knew it would eventually come into existence[4] whether its creator wanted to admit it or not. It hopes to provide a visual display that mimics a typical Wikipedia page in an attempt to practice creating and adding the various sections often forming the more familiar page structure often found on Wikipedia.

Authority

[edit]

There was none.

Future Plans

[edit]

Once establishing that it should exist, the page went forward to establish itself as a live sandbox page, one that was published within the sandbox. However, It still has trouble determining how to add a table of contents box one often finds on the left-hand side of most Wikipedia pages.

The above graph depicts the growing confidence of Wikipedia Explorer & former Donator, David Do, as he progressed through the sandbox, creating Headings, Sub-Headings, and Inserting a graph which he could not figure out how to name the x and y representations or, otherwise, name what each axis represented. Having been met with this challenge, his confidence drops by number 9. A numbered column of the x axis that wonders how it can be depicted in a value of time instead of just a number.

Met with further failure, a decline has been recorded in this line graph to show his continued loss of hope for the matter.

Future Existance

[edit]

We wonder now, if it will be published to see if perhaps the table of contents is added on it's own.

It was later noted that the citations found at the bottom are without a heading but one can be added manually for aesthetics.

    test1

What reference does a reference make when it's inserted as a citation? We do not know any more than how the template determines it's title to be "test1" and "test1"
