Andhra Prashasthi
[edit]Andhra Prashasthi (lit: Fame Of Andhras) is an ode to the ancient history of TrilingaDesa(Land of Three Lingas) composed by Kavi Saamrat Shri Viswanatha SatyaNarayana. Regarded as one of the finest works in telugu language, it describes the ancient history of telugu land comprising of parts of present day AndhraPradesh and Telanga states.It is written in nostalgic and evocative style and speaks greatly about the rulers of various dynasties of AndhraDesa. It details the accounts of historic Wars and offers description of various places of worship in an ornate manner.
Publication History
[edit]It was written between 1919-1924. It was dedicated to Mallampalli SomaShekarasharma .It was first published in 1927.The first published version did not contain Kondaveeti Pogamabbulu. The latest reprinting was in the year 2018 which brought out the thirteenth edition.
