[edit]- January 21, 1999 - Four people have died after an RAF Tornado and a light aircraft collided above the village of Everton in north Nottinghamshire.[1]
- 21 August 1999 - An Italian AF Tornado crashed into the sea off Sicily, killing both pilots.[2]
- October 14, 1999 - a Tornado from RAF Lossiemouth crashed in Northumberland, killing the pilot and navigator.[3]

The weapons system officer ejects and is rescued severely injured from the rock face by a local helicopter rescue team. The crash occurs minutes after refueling in Emmen during an authorized navigation training in the Swiss Alps while returning to Germany from a long-distance flight to Corsica, France.[9][10][11]
- 6 June 2007 - An Italian AF Tornado crashed near Ferrara. The two pilots ejected successfully.[12]
- On 2nd July 2009 an RAF Tornado crashed in Argyll in Scotland killing the crew of two from 43 Squadron operating from RAF Leuchars.[13]
- On 20 July 2009 A British Royal Air Force GR4 Tornado fighter jet crashed at Kandahar air base during takeoff at 7:20 a.m., the two pilots were injured after ejecting from the aircraft.[14]
