So far, I've published thirteen Conway Library articles, the first ten via AfC:

- Francis Robert Kelly
- Eve Borsook
- Allan Braham
- Delia Gaze
- Ethel Booty
- Peter H Brieger
- Francis P Kelly
- Dillian Gordon
- William Pettigrew Gibson
- Bruce A. Bailey
- Katharine Fremantle
Background
[edit]I have three degrees from the University of London:
Birkbeck College, BA (Hons), English, 1986
Kings College, MA, Victorian Studies, 1988
Kings College, PhD, The Book Illustrations and Political Cartoons of Sir John Tenniel, 1994[1]
I worked as a tutor/associate lecturer with the Open University for over 21 years (1991-2012), teaching on a wide range of Arts and Humanities subjects. In parallel with that, I have been working for over 21 years (since 1999) for a commercial picture library in London, researching a wide range of topics for captioning and keywording. While on furlough during the 2020 Covid19 pandemic, I joined the team of Courtauld volunteers to contribute to their amazing digitisation project, and have been writing and editing Wikipedia articles on contributors of photographs and engravings held in the Conway Library archive.
Interests
[edit]Topics of personal interest I've recently been working on:
Charles Canning Winmill, published 20/21 August 2020, and All Saints' Parish Hall, Blackheath, London, published 26 July 2020, with thanks to User:Paul W for his input on both. Charles Winmill was the architect of the Parish Hall, a locally listed building in the Blackheath Conservation Area, London Borough of Lewisham; he was also the architect of Belsize Fire Station, a Grade II* listed building in the London Borough of Camden. He worked in Arts and Crafts style.
Emilia Rensi, Italian philosopher (part of an ongoing collaboration with an Italian academic), published 10 September 2020.
Jane Clarke (poet), Irish poet from Co. Roscommon, Republic of Ireland, published 20 September 2020.
David Moreira da Silva, Portuguese architect, published 23 September 2020.
Clyde Sanger, English journalist, first Africa correspondent for The Guardian newspaper - published 27 October 2020.
