Chris von Simson is Founder of Purely Analytical, a small business providing research services and products on the software industry, especially that part of software used for Data and Analytics. A material experience was gained as a Senior Product Manager for MicroStrategy, responsible for product strategy, Product Marketing, and Business Development for 64-bit Business Intelligence, MicroStrategy OLAP Services and MicroStrategy Office.
Joined MicroStrategy in August of 1999, and previously worked as Manager of eLearning, Manager of Education Services in the United Kingdom, and served as Project Manager for a number of Business Intelligence implementations.
Mr. von Simson is a co-inventor of a MicroStrategy patent, and holds degrees in Education from the University of York, and Languages and Literature from University College London.
Education and related matters. This is an outcome of the Postgraduate Certificate in Education study that I made at the University of York, includes some education research that I conducted in Uganda near Bwera in 1992, and then incorporates the teaching that I have done over the years in the British Education System, at Scalby School in Scarborough during the PGCE, and subsequently in Bretton Woods School near Peterborough, and finally (to date) at Amersham and Wycombe College, in Amersham, Buckinghamshire.
