HISTORY.  This Article documents the history of Chania Football club, a Kenyan Association Football team based in Thika township ward, Thika town Kiambu County.  It was founded in the year 2015; the founding father of the club was then a 25 years old construction site laborer and a part-time community radio sports journalist.  He came up with an idea for establishing a football team. Due to lack of funds, firstly, he opened a facebook account in order to mobilize personnel to partner with.  In early 2016, he joined hands with other two fellow agemates and they came up with an idea to form a youth group for social –economic activities.  What the founder could afford at that time is just a ball,so he used his one ball and a Facebook account in order to mobilize the fellow youths to come together.  The group grew gradually and gained football lovers members. During holidays, (AUGUST & DECEMBER), they would organize for a body-building tournaments for fun.

 The team played fun tournaments in 2016 and 2017. In 2018, the founder made it a serious business where he approached experts and professionals in order to set up football club.  In March 2018, the club acquired the kits uniforms and training facilities and remained was recruitment of players.  The club entered in partnership with other services providers and came up as a company under the name TWO THIRTY SEVEN SERVICES (237) is a route directs to Thika town.  The club then re-birthed under the name CHANIA237FC. Actually 237 is another name used as THIKA. Chania is a river that flows from Aberdare Ranges and meets with Thika River (also from Aberdares Ranges at northwest of thika town)  Since then, the CHANIA237 FC remained as a product of TWO THIRTY SEVEN LIMITED (A services & amenities company ) and the sister products are,ONLINE237.COM(online shopping), GOLDEN GENERATION (GG), Sports and Talents Academy, Media srtation and sites among others.  The club chose its colors as Midnight Blue, Harlequin Green,White and Black. For a home colors in white and blue and away colors is black and green.  In the same year (2018), club got affiliated to the football federation as it was recognized as a football team in Kenya.
