I have so many different opinions about this but it is a topic we will certainly have to consider more and more [[1]].

Some good music that I like to listen to while editing :-- Hungry Ghosts https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8cLacPCIak&t=1031s
More good music -- Fresh Aire's Mannheim Steamroller https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u81lqZm9aZg

Sometimes I catch myself trying to believe I have a sophisticated music taste. Then I have to remind myself I have also liked chalga.

Whoops, they nailed me again, be careful or I'll eat you :)

Linguistics: to-do

[edit]

Stratum (linguistics) -- massive expansion in lines of the history of the theory, with the debate between the internalists and the followers of Ascoli in the 19th century, etc.
History of French -- expand with info on the theories of G I Ascoli
Computational Phonology -- apparently Wikipedia still lacks a page on this. If I get a good chunk of free time for days, I might try to fix this.
Historical Phonology -- astonishingly Wikipedia lacks this too. One day I will get my sources together and try to put together a page based on its origins with the Neogrammarians, some of the 20th century disputes between Neogrammarians and the "Diffusionists" like Wang et al, disputes between internalists and proponents of wide-ranging effects of language contact, other controversies, methods including reconstruction, other relevant concepts, and modern day challenges. This is an important topic and if I do a page I hope to do it well so if you are someone with expertise in this area greater than mine please let me know and I would be more than glad to collaborate (given time).
