Company
[edit]Suniva®, Inc. is a U.S. manufacturer of high-efficiency (19+%) monocrystalline silicon solar cells and high-power solar modules. Through processes developed by Suniva founder, CTO and Georgia Tech University Professor, Dr. Ajeet Rohatgi[1][2] and further developed in Suniva's R&D lab, the company has achieved certified efficiencies of more than 20 percent on screen-printed cells in the lab (certified by NREL, National Renewable Energy Laboratory).[3] and more than 19 percent in mass production.
The company evolved from the Georgia Institute of Technology's [4]University Center of Excellence in Photovoltaics (UCEP) [5] and uses patented low-cost manufacturing techniques.[6]
Suniva's corporate headquarters and manufacturing plant, with a capacity of 175MW, are located in Norcross, Georgia.
