Baked beans on toast is a British dish traditionally containing tinned haricot beans in a tomato sauce.[1]. These are then combined with toast.
Origins
[edit]Beans on toast was allegedly invented by a Heinz executive in 1927, and became increasingly popular during rationing in World War 2 [2].
