RIDE FOR HUMANITY (R4H)' Ride 4 Humanity (R4H) is a Humanitarian movement of voluntarily sharing the lift by single seated bikers with the lift seekers on their way of travel.
This idea is a brain child of Bhooshan Gogad, a mumbai based musician. The campaign very firstly started on 15th August from Gundavali locality in Andheri east suburb in Mumbai.
This main purpose behind this initiative is to cultivate more and more sense of cooperation amongst the society. By giving lift, one member of the society is extending cooperation to another. It's an 'Action' of cooperation and not mere words. so it will have better impact on society at large. There are many other benefits like curbing the traffic on roads, reducing the pollution, saving travelling time etc etc.
How does this movement work- There is a sign created for R4H. its a left 'Yo" (thumb directed towards sky and 1st and pinky finger directed towards left with middle fingers folded inside). The stickers have been made of this sign ( Yellow in color and Ride 4 humanity written on it) to be stuck on front side of the bike willing to be a part of this movement. and the lift seeker will have to show this R4H sign to any such biker for lift. He may oblige or not, its completely bikers call. but usually bikers offer such lifts. This exercise has to be practiced only in daylight and not in any lonely road.
This is just a voluntary movement so there are no rules, only some precautions.
Looking forward to get this Movement spread all over the world.
