Problem

  • Mass sockpuppetry, centred on Rangiya but including associated articles
  • Mass addition of unsourced trivia - e.g. gyms, apparently promoting NN businesses
  • Multiple overlapping socks - see dates of accounts below - several have interacted, possibly to distract observers
  • Following semi-protection of Rangiya, later socks made multiple edits at Khoirabari, until semi'd, then Bongaigaon, until semi'd, to achieve auto-confirmed status
  • Also creates an account, but doesn't edit for 4+ days, so can then do 10 quick edits and re-attack Rangiya e.g. PHOTO EXPERT 777 (talk · contribs) and NonRevert (talk · contribs)
  • Appears proud of his socks, e.g. adding Adding sock Rang HD template
  • Multiple false edit summaries - e.g. [1] claiming to have reverted to an earlier version of mine, when actually it was reverted to their version
  • Blanks or alters entries at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Rang HD and denies they are a sock.
  • Tried to start an SPI at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Rang HD [2] about another user, which boomeranged into a block
  • Has vandalized this page, denying they are a sock, leading to EC protection
  • Tries to curry favour e.g. 7 "thanks" by User:Survershay to me on 7 May 2024 and posting "innocent" questions on my talk page, 2 different socks on 20 April
