Overall perspective in List of terrorist incidents ... some recent events did not make it into my news media, where I saw about that, such as July 5 in India. In some nations, the mayhem is so non-stop that I tend to tune it out (sorry).

• September 11, 2001 attacks
• 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake known to many people as the tsunami.
• Hurricane Katrina
• Recent tornado touching down less than 10 miles from where I live in Evansville Indiana
