Port of Bandırma is a port located in Bandırma district of Balıkesir. It is located in the southeast of Bandırma Gulf.

History

The port, which started its operations as a municipal pier in 1924, started to be modernized in 1952. The port, which was transferred to the Turkish State Railways in 1969, was included in the scope of privatization in 2004.^[2] The tender held by the Privatization High Council in 2010 was won by the Çelebi Joint Venture Group with 175 million USD.^[3]

Features

Bandırma Port, which has a pier length of 2973 meters, has a capacity of 2 million 771 thousand tons. The grain silo is around 34 thousand tons. It has an annual acceptance capacity of 4,280 ships.^[4]
