Torkamanchay District (Persian: بخش ترکمانچای)[a] is a former administrative division of Mianeh County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran. Its capital was the city of Torkamanchay.[3]
History
[edit]In 2024, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Torkamanchay County.[4]
Demographics

[edit]At the time of the 2006 National Census, the district's population was 25,281 in 5,935 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 22,724 people in 6,415 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 21,387 inhabitants in 7,058 households.[2]
