"Spatial anomalies"

[edit]

The template uses the term "anomaly" in the Star Trek sense. I think it should be renamed "Spacetime in fiction" and turned into a navbar. Bright☀ 10:26, 14 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It is important from an article standpoint that it stays in the top right corner of Wormholes in fiction and portable hole. Something is needed to distinguish related articles at the top of the page. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 10:35, 14 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I made a navbar, but I still recommend changing the name of this template since "spacial anomaly" is very Star-Trek-centric. Bright☀ 10:52, 14 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I agree the current name isn't great, and I'm fine with renaming this if we can find a better name. How this got started was as I was working on the various article, I noticed that some of them had "See Also" entries for some of the others, but it was almost random which ones were connected. I figured having a single place to collect all the links would make sense. I'm concerned about having both a sidebar and a navbar; if we have both, all that's going to happen is they'll drift apart from each other over time, and then we'll be back where we started. I'd prefer the sidebar to the navbar. -- RoySmith (talk) 17:12, 14 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Also, I expect that over time, some of the entries here will go away, or get merged. There's a lot of overlap between many of them, and most are chock-full of WP:OR and bereft of WP:RS. -- RoySmith (talk) 17:14, 14 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
