Please help determine consensus for how head coaches appear on NBA franchise templates

There is a discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject National Basketball Association/Archive 23#NBA Coaches/Franchise template to determine how coaches should be displayed on NBA franchise templates such as this one. If you have an opinion on the matter, please join the discussion. There are several options laid out and a discussion of pros and cons is underway. Thanks! Obfuscated links in Retired Numbers

@Sbaio: The link piping in the Retired Numbers section obfuscates the link target. WP:EASTEREGG says that we should "Keep piped links as transparent as possible". Therefore I unpiped these links, but was reverted with the rationale "not used in any other NBA template", which does not address the point I made, nor does it consider the possibility that the other templates may also need to be changed. @Jameboy: I understand your concerns, but current format is used per consensus (I should have noted that in my edit summary). This was most recently discussed about five or six years ago. In my opinion, the "Retired numbers" section should be removed from these navboxes and I even proposed that in the past, but other editors were against the removal. – sbaio 05:06, 7 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
