Description
[edit]This template fetches properties position held (P39) and part of (P361) of the page having given 'qid' or of the underlying page (if qid not given).
If value of position held (P39) is member of the Lok Sabha (Q16556694), member of Rajya Sabha (Q17324844) or member of legislative assembly (Q5230427) and value of part of (P361) is Union Council of Ministers of India (Q960484) or council of ministers (Q15105) respectively, then the above mentioned output is printed.
This template is meant to be used on the pages of Indian legislates (i.e. members of Parliament or of Assemblies).
Context
[edit]Article 88 and 177 of Constitution of India specify the powers of ministers of union and of states, including their entitlement to vote. When members of the legislatures are appointed as ministers, their entitlement to vote in the legislature gets revoked by virtue of these articles.
