Oded Muhammad Danial

[edit]
  • ... that Bandung's mayor used to sell ice cream until 2016? Source: Tempo: "Wakil Wali Kota Bandung Oded Muhammad Danial tetap akan berjualan es krim setelah dilantik hari ini"
    • ALT1:... that as Bandung's deputy mayor, Oded Muhammad Danial established a program for Islamic da'wah in city buses?

  • Article is new enough and long enough, and is adequately sourced. Indonesian language sources accepted in good faith. No plagiarism was found. QPQ has been provided. Of the two hooks I prefer ALT0, but the hook tense and the article seem to contradict each other: the hook says that he used to sell ice cream, but the article implies he still does. In addition, "muslim dresses" should probably be capitalized. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 13:36, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
  • Capitalized. For the "used to" part - I can't find any information on him still being active at his business when he's appointed mayor, and that article is from 2013. Pikiran Rakyat here implies he still has it by January 2018, though maybe a better phrasing is in order?
@Juxlos: Definitely. It might be better to rephrase the hook, and mention in the article something like as of January 2018 he still runs that ice cream business. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:59, 4 October 2018 (UTC)
@Narutolovehinata5: Found this article already in the source where he said he stopped doing ice cream in 2016, so I updated the hook. Juxlos (talk) 21:47, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
Well if the source says so, then I guess this should be good to go then. Indonesian-language reference accepted in good faith. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 23:37, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
  • Coming to promote this, I am unhappy about the 2016 date as the source states (via Google Translate) "The business of ice tongtong that Oded lived in actually ran long enough. His efforts around 2004, until he became a council (member of the Bandung City DPRD)". He became a city council member in 2004, so it may have been a short-run business venture. Promoting ALT1 instead. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:13, 27 October 2018 (UTC)
  • FWIW, the sentence in question states "The business of ice tongtong that Oded lived in actually ran long enough. His business started around 2004, and even until he became a council (member of the Bandung City DPRD) he still continued" Juxlos (talk) 14:11, 27 October 2018 (UTC)
