Nahikari García
[edit]- ... that Nahikari García' scored 15 goals in the 2015–16 Women's Primera División, the most ever by a Real Sociedad player in a season.

- Hi Kosack, thanks for reviewing the nomination. I've unfortunately not been able to source a better reference. The majority of news articles about her are in Spanish which makes it a bit difficult. I don't think the journalist or Garcia herself would have brought up the tally were it not significant, though. The journalist makes mention of it being her personal best but it's no surprise that a 19-year old is beating her previous tally. I also don't think she would be so presumptuous about the record if it wasn't true or that AS (which is quite a big media house) would have published it if not accurate. What do you think? Liam E. - @Liam E. Bekker: Hi, it's on the borderline in my opinion, could you use Google translate to find a Spanish news article that supports it? Another query I have, the article at 2015–16 Primera División (women) lists her as having scored 16 league goals during that season. Is that a mistake on their part? - Hi @Kosack:, the majority of the edits I've made on her page have been done using Google translate but even so I'm struggling to find a more definitive source. I'll have another look this evening though. I've also asked a few pages devoted to women's football on Twitter if they can assist. Also, I believe 15 is in fact the correct number, not 14 or 16. She only scored once after the interview (against Rayo Vallecano on 5 June) to take it to 15. I manually tallied up all her goals for the season using this source and it comes to 15 too.[1] I have amended the hook and will make the change on hers and the Primera Division pages as well to reflect this. It is worth noting that her 16th goal came in the Copa de la Reina quarter-final against Barcelona. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Liam E. Bekker (talk • contribs) 13:41, 11 August 2016 (UTC)
- Kosack, Liam E. Bekker, it's been over a month since the last post here. Where does this stand? It sounds like there's a sourcing issue with the main fact in the hook ("most ever" hooks need reliable and definitive sourcing); if this can't be straightened out, then a new, interesting hook is needed. (If one can't be found, then the nomination can't proceed.) Please let us know as soon as possible. Many thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 23:37, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
- @BlueMoonset: In his last post, the user mentioned their intention to search for more sources but never returned. Kosack (talk) 05:39, 15 September 2016 (UTC)
- @BlueMoonset:@Kosack: sorry guys, I did have a look again but I haven't been able to find anything more definitive than the source used. I think this one is dead in the water. Liam E. Bekker (talk) 15:12, 15 September 2016 (UTC)
