- ALT1:... that when the Ottoman Sultan Mehmed I proposed a marriage alliance to Junayd of Aydın, the latter married his daughter to an Albanian slave to show his defiance?
- ALT2:... that during the civil war of the Ottoman Interregnum, Junayd Bey, ruler of the Beylik of Aydın, at one time or other supported four different Ottoman princes vying for the throne?
