Grey heron

  • ... that grey herons spend much time on the ground, striding about or standing still for long periods with an upright stance, often on a single leg?

  • This nom has been reviewed against, and determined to meet, the seven criterions of a DYK nomination. This review is written to the standards described in the Reviewing Guide which requires an icon and a description of issues discovered. Having (a) placed an icon, and, (b) discovered no issues that require description, this is cleared for queue. This is not a QPQ review. (Could not verify source cited, but verified fact through 2010 edition of RSPB handbook; GF assumption the nom has correctly cited the 1946 HBB.) LavaBaron (talk) 21:59, 23 October 2015 (UTC)
