Glenview Mansion
[edit]- ... that a copper-colored chrysanthemum developed at Glenview Mansion (pictured) in Yonkers, New York, was sold on the streets in Manhattan?
- ALT1:... that Glenview Mansion (pictured) in Yonkers, New York, has one of the finest Eastlake interiors of any Victorian house open to the public?

- Pretty much grand; the only issue is that the first hook (which I would say is the better of the two) mentions "the streets in Manhattan" when the article simply says "New York"; one of these will need to be changed to match the other. GRAPPLE X 21:33, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
- Before the original hook can be approved, I think the article must first be changed: both to match the basic facts (New York vs. Manhattan) and to have the sentence in question given its own inline citation. The mum and the grapes are different enough that it isn't clear they would appear on the same page of the source. If you want to go with the ALT1 hook, this is naturally moot, but with the original hook preferred and intact, the article is not ready for promotion, which is too bad, because I was about to promote it using that first hook, but found myself writing this instead. - I'll do it, but an ALT2 has since occurred to me that might make this issue moot.
- ALT2: ... that the original transom at Glenview Mansion (pictured) in Yonkers, New York, was removed so a stuffed elephant once owned by the Barnum & Bailey circus could be brought in? Daniel Case (talk) 14:53, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- I have also made the change for the original hook. I just moved the mum sentence to the end since it's ridiculous to have the same citation appear on two consecutive sentences. Daniel Case (talk) 14:56, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- The article changes satisfy my concerns with the original hook, but we should have Grapple X return to check the ALT2 hook. I've just dropped a quick note to that effect. Thanks! BlueMoonset (talk) 15:32, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

- That sounds like an official approval to me. Thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 06:38, 17 May 2012 (UTC)
