Compound of three octahedra
[edit]- ... that the central chameleon cage in M. C. Escher's 1948 woodcut Stars has the shape of a compound of three octahedra (pictured)?

- Comment: Relatedly, Stars has also been expanded. The expansion is less than 5x its previous maximum but is more than 5x if one measures from this version, which removed a copyvio from an earlier version. If this counts as a sufficient expansion, the title can also be bolded in the hook.

- I have bolded "Stars" in the hook as I believe it qualifies for inclusion under the 5x expansion rule. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:42, 2 December 2011 (UTC)
