Band of Gypsys

[edit]
  • Reviewed: Not a self-nomination

  • It's great having more exposure for this now sometimes overlooked album. A small point though – although all the material or songs to choose from was recorded over two consecutive nights, the songs that actually made it onto the album were taken from those recorded on the second night (yes, it can be confusing, see Band of Gypsys#Recording first two sentences and last paragraph). If the hook doesn't work, maybe something like ...that the group that recorded the BoG album with JH broke up after just two concert appearances? (See Band of Gypsys#Release last paragraph). —Ojorojo (talk) 16:54, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for your input. I have written out your suggested hook as alt1 below, and supplied an additional alt2 which is more directly quoted from the article. Oceanh (talk) 18:06, 29 August 2014 (UTC)
  • ALT1: ... that the group that recorded the Band of Gypsys album with Jimi Hendrix broke up after just two concert appearances?
  • ALT2: ... that the group that recorded the Band of Gypsys album with Jimi Hendrix had already broken up by the time of the album's release?
  • Full review needed now that ALT hooks have been proposed (have deleted original hook due to issue raised). BlueMoonset (talk) 01:07, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
  • This newly promoted GA is long enough and was nominated in time. Both the two alternative hooks are covered by inline citations which are accepted in good faith. The article is neutral but I could not assess whether there were any plagiarism or copyright issues because the references are not online. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:50, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
