A Katy or a Gaga

[edit]

* ALT1: ... that Lady Gaga tweeted that Adam Lambert was "perfect" to cover her song "Applause" in his Glee debut episode "A Katy or a Gaga" "cause he's glammer", but he is singing "Marry the Night"?

  • This article is new enough and long enough. Going with the original hook as it reads better. I have edited the article as the episode has now screened and have added Therealdavo2 to the credits. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:54, 9 November 2013 (UTC)
  • I'm sorry, but I specifically deleted the original hook because it turned out to be misleading and, frankly, gives the impression that Lambert did cover the song, when he did not. (It's sung by other actors.) If you'd prefer me to create a completely different ALT I'm happy to, but DYK is generally willing to give a certain amount of deference to the nominator, and in this case I'm hoping it extends to my striking the original hook as it was overtaken by events. Reproposing ALT1 as ALT1a, slightly reworded, in case that helps (but perfectly prepared for it to be considered inadequate):
Thanks. Please let me know if an ALT2 is needed with a different approach. BlueMoonset (talk) 07:09, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
Another suggestion. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:07, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
Not fond of "instead", because there's a bit of an implication that it was done by his choice (and maybe despite her), and it doesn't read well where it is (though it would do better at the end of the hook). Have struck the earlier hooks, but some very minor wording changes to the end of ALT2 should get us there:
Thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 04:51, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
  • That seems fine. Ready to go with hook ALT2a. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:53, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
Thank you! BlueMoonset (talk) 07:06, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
