Ömer Halisdemir
[edit]- ... that Sergeant Ömer Halisdemir was killed on the spot after he shot dead a general who had tried to take over the Special Forces Command HQ during the 2016 Turkish coup d'état attempt?
Source: "Halisdemir was deployed in the Special Forces Command when pro-coup troops started taking over military bases across the country", "Sergeant Ömer Halisdemir killed Brigadier General Semih Terzi on the night of July 15, breaking the command chain of the plotters.", "Halisdemir died heroically, sprayed with bullets by Terzi's troops." - New, in time, long enough, sourced, no apparent copyvios, QPQ done. CeeGee, you need to add a citation after this sentence: "He drew his handgun and shot the general dead three times in the head." Also, when you say "Halisdemir's body was carried aside," do you mean "Halisdemir's body was carried inside"? --Usernameunique (talk) 00:48, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
