Was it ever finished?
[edit]My recollection was that the z80k project was cancelled along with the ZIlog Z8070 floating point chip in August 1984. Kevink707 (talk) 22:00, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
"Equivalent" to 386?
[edit]It has instructions like INDEXL RR4,RR6,#10,#20,#100 like the VAX and it's instructions and registers look more similar to the NEC V60 or Motorola 68k than to the 386. It also has 16 general-purpose registers (instead of 8 semi-general registers like x86) and is not accumulator-oriented like the x86 architecture. What is the article comparing to the 386? Certainly not CPU architecture. Is it speed? Time period? Intended market? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.205.116.100 (talk) 22:05, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
