External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Ze'ev Herzog. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20110604112850/http://www.tau.ac.il/humanities/archaeology/info/TA31-2_Redifining_the_Centre.pdf to http://www.tau.ac.il/humanities/archaeology/info/TA31-2_Redifining_the_Centre.pdf
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

David's palace
[edit]Happily, Yosef Garfinkel found David's palace again, 25 km further away.

Fringe
[edit]Minimalists won the game, maximalists lost. Minimalists got to define the mainstream, maximalists are WP:FRINGE. Minimalists failed to remove the Bible from archaeology, for the rest they scored total victory. Tgeorgescu (talk) 15:05, 17 April 2021 (UTC)
- I don't think winning is the right approach, but yes, we shouldn't attempt to balance mainstream views with opinions (WP:GEVAL is relevant). Adding: I saw in the edit summary a claim like that all are only opinions and equally valid. That's not really the case as understanding increases with advancements and discoveries, informed by science. —PaleoNeonate – 00:38, 18 April 2021 (UTC)
- Yup, what was WP:RS in 1999, no longer is so in 2021. Tgeorgescu (talk) 13:46, 19 April 2021 (UTC)
- Adding for completeness: I don't think there's a problem with using a source to mention that an academic is minimalist or maximalist in a certain area of course, but the way this was made to "balance" or claim that Herzog's view is fringe was incorrect and violated WP:GEVAL. —PaleoNeonate – 11:48, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
