Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Gender equality in Nepal. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Plans to expand

[edit]

I plan to edit this article to revamp and expand on the limited knowledge presented right now. My edits will include topics on women’s rights, gender inequality and equality pages since women’s rights is not only about dismantling systematic inequalities, but also the growth of women in familial, social, economic and political spheres overtime.

First, I would like to change the name from “Women’s rights in Nepal” to “Gender inequality in Nepal.” Through further review of articles covering gender inequality and women’s rights, I want to change the name of the article because it will better represent content on the page with a section covering legal rights of women. This article will focus more on existing inequalities and societal changes for gender equality as well as violence against women in Nepal. This reconceptualization of the topic may enable me more room to expand on systematic inequalities at the institutional, local and household level rather than the legality of people. Ultimately, while discussing policies and laws, this article will mainly focus more on the lived experiences and reality of gender relations in Nepal.

Review

[edit]

Hey there! First of all, I want to thank you for your commitment to improve this article. This article has a lot of issues and it is important that this article has updated and properly sourced information. The changes you have made to the article so far have been great, but there are other changes that still need to be made. The sections on the history of women's rights in Nepal as well as the constitutional protections afforded to women were very excellent, providing neutral, sourced information and a great overview of the state of women's rights in Nepal. However, other sections, such as the lead section, need a significant overhaul. Links to other pages the first time that they are mentioned and sourcing for the lead section are two great places to start. Also, be sure to cover all of the information mentioned in the lead section in the article! Bringing in sources and images to the second half of the article would also make this article a lot better. The progress that you have made so far has been excellent, keep up the great work! Brookeenglish (talk) 22:17, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
