Wolf Mankowitz

[edit]

I am Daniel, Wolf's son, I have been the guardian of his archive since his death and was the major contributor (from WM archive) for the Anthony J Dunn biography (pub. 2013, Vallentine Mitchell) and also The Art of Living ,Mankowitz Davis tapes (available online). I edited a few factual changes in December, purely to correct some mistakes, remove an irrelevant passage and add a couple of facts. Laffy Taffer wiped out all my changes . I accept that Cyril was his birth name, although never used in adulthood. I should like my changes reinstated (apart from removing Cyril) as they all can be verified. 103.129.108.103 (talk) 05:37, 28 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This would be a message for Talk:Wolf Mankowitz, not my talk page. Upon reviewing what I reverted, I stand by my edits. Taffer😊 💬(they/she) 14:07, 28 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@103.129.108.103 I'm moving this discussion to the article's talk page, and I'll run through some of what I reverted:
[[Writer]], [[playwright]], [[screenwriter]], collagist
+
[[Writer]], [[playwright]], [[screenwriter]]
This is unsupported by anything in the article body.
[[Gered Mankowitz]], Jonathan Mankowitz,Daniel Mankowitz, Benjamin Mankowitz
+
4, including [[Gered Mankowitz]]
The desire to have your name included in the article is understandable, but as Gered is the only one with an article, the reverted version is more concise. If you have a source for you and your brothers, please share it and I'll add your names to the personal life section.
The remainder of my reversions to the article body were due to the fact that your changes weren't supported by sources and therefore can't be verified. The reverted versions also are unsourced, and I should have added citation needed tags to those, that was a mistake on my part and I'll add them after this message. Please take a look at Help:Referencing for beginners, your additions to the article need to be supported by sources.Taffer😊 💬(they/she) 16:09, 28 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Finally, either you or one of your brothers was informed at User talk:Wolfman Archive about wikipedia policy on conflicts of interest, and I found the response to be rather dismissive. I strongly encourage to you review WP:COI again, in particular the section about editing with a conflict of interest. Taffer😊 💬(they/she) 16:19, 28 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
