Edit to dates in the article header About notes

[edit]

It was confusing for the article to have two different dates referenced in the header About, 1949, and the title, 1988. If it "ceased operations" in 1949, why did the railroad still function as a separate entity until 1988? I was bold and changed the dates in the header to reflect the actual end of operations, not a change in management, some notion that ownership by another company somehow ends the life of a railroad. Most clearly, the About section and boxes need to reflect the date in the title to avoid confusion. -- Srwalden (talk) 10:44, 8 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
