Merge with West Meadow Beach

[edit]

As you may've read, I'm advocating the merging of West Meadow Beach into this article. The discussion can also be found on the WikiProject NRHP talk page. ----DanTD (talk) 22:48, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanka so much for doing this.--Pubdog (talk) 01:24, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome, but I didn't merge them yet. I'm still waiting for a concensus. ----DanTD (talk) 04:15, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I do think, however, that it is very important to distinguish between (#1) the Brookhaven Town-owned public beach facility (a.k.a. the Joel L. Lefkowitz Park at West Meadow Beach) and (#2) the Suffolk County-overseen wildlife reserve known as the West Meadow Wetlands Reserve. They serve very different purposes, and have quite diferent restrictions.

Furthmore, why not have a better map? Not N.Y. State, but show the contours of the W.M.B. Historic District? And mention the popular Stony Brook Harbor-based boat tours of the reserve? And the h.s. and SUSB marine biology studies there?

Best of luck, Dr.Bastedo (talk) 07:39, 12 October 2018 (UTC) --- Oh, and by the way the word is spelled "consensus."[reply]

{I grew up within walking distance of these wetlands and studied them as a marine bio h.s. student.}
