Crime Library has more, but I don't know much about their accuracy.--T. Anthony (talk) 21:45, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Since it does not contradict the German Wikipedia article, I would take it as a pretty reliable source. Editorofthewiki 19:25, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Otto's Age

[edit]

″Dolly Oesterreich, 33 at the time, first became friendly with 17-year-old Otto Sanhuber (Jul 16, 1888 - ?) [3] around 1913″

The math does not add up. Otto's age is not 17 around 1913 if he was born in 1888. Which numbers should be right? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.121.84.108 (talk) 19:27, 26 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The math in the German version of the article does more or less add up. There Dolly's year of birth is given as 1864 or 1870 (not 1880 as here), and the year she met Otto as about 1903 (not about 1913 as here) - if he was born in 1888, that would make him about 16 ('15 to 17' in the German version) when they met. Given all these utterly inconsistent dates and ages I've no idea which ones are correct, but the German version certainly looks a whole lot more accurate.188.230.240.75 (talk) 10:27, 22 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I am also concerned about Fred's age. The intro alleges he was only three years older than Dolly, yet the rest of the article claims that when she started working in the factory at age 12, he was the owner.
The timeline here is so atrocious - both for it's inconsistency and for it's lack of citations - that I would suggest most of the background ought to be scrapped entirely and the article cut down to only the most basic, confirmed facts. 2600:1700:55B0:7C60:9CD9:B6F:6399:C044 (talk) 02:21, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
