Question: What has Wajeha Al-Huwaider's work with the Association for the Protection and Defense of Women's Rights in Saudi Arabia looked like since the end of the driving campaign? Is the organization now defunct or are efforts still being undertaken?--Hunerwithat (talk) 21:57, 17 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Updated info would definitely be useful for this article. It seems that al-Huwaider was lucky - she doesn't seem to be named in 2018–2019 Saudi crackdown on feminists. Boud (talk) 17:20, 18 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Hunerwithat: This 2017 link thanks to Bschutz11 writing at User talk:Hunerwithat would be good for a brief comment to let the reader know that al-Huwaider still has a public profile, though it doesn't say much. Al-Huwaider has a great smile in the photo - pity that we can't use it without al-Huwaider herself explicitly free-licensing the photo with a CC BY-SA compatible licence. Chances are that she would be happy to do so, but someone would have to do the communication and explanation work to get that done properly; guessing is not good enough to protect Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons (and the WMF).
