[edit]

hey, this is not a good wikipedia article. either i myself will return and spruce this article up (or even nominate it for deletion if i determine that the so-called 'venom mob' does not have enough valid historical text or etc.) or a smart kung-fu fan can come along and do it instead, since i probably won't be able to. anyways:

  • i don't think i'll be blowing anybody's mind by pointing out that this has been blatantly written by wu-tang fans. this article is not written neutrally. the section listing the various members of the venom mob was previously titled 'pick your poison,' for example. not only is it full of fan-centric language, it contains vague/unprovable/non-valuable statements such as 'As with most groups, time saw their talents being pulled in different directions.' this article should be re-written from an unbiased POV.
  • this article is completely unsourced. whether or not the 'venom mob' ever formally recognized themselves as such is totally dubious. if this article is re-evaluated with a few good sources, it should be pretty easy to make a more concrete statement on this supposed actor collective.
  • in following the above: if they aren't really called the 'venom mob,' this article will have to be re-titled.

if someone else works on this and makes this into a worthwhile article, i will buy you a beer (in spirit). wikipedia needs better kung-fu articles, and kung-fu in general needs better cataloging.

excellent work. --AlexOvShaolin 00:08, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

--Ummm, when did they ever refer to themselves as the "Venom Mob"?! I've only seen the 5 "venom" actors from that film referred to as the "Five Venoms". Somebody has been listening to WAY to much wutang clan IMO.

--They don't need to have referred to themselves as the "Venom Mob", it is common lingo among Kung Fu fans at this point. Just google: Venom Mob. And stop typing out "ummmm", what's the point of that? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.87.112.1 (talk) 17:25, 15 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Kuo.jpg

[edit]

Image:Kuo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
