VAW-116 History
[edit]Greetings, I am a former VAW-116 soldier. My name is Larry Anderson AMS-3, 1968 and 1969. We deployed on the USS Coral Sea to Vietnam. I noticed on the history page that the USS Coral Sea wasn't mentioned in the sixties and seventies. LT Larry C. Knight and the E2A crew went down after launching in 1970. I had been discharged just prior to that and found out about LT Knight years later. He and the crew were on the MIA list until, I think 2022. I pray everyday now for the return of all MIA'S or their remains so that families can have closure. I pray for you all as well. I worked on the flight deck so I know how dangerous it can be. Please see what you can do to mention the USS Coral Sea in the early history of VAW-116. We were stationed at NAS North Island and the Coral Sea was tied up at Alameda. Prayers for safety for you all and God bless America! Larry Anderson - 574-220-6128. 74.140.228.138 (talk) 03:13, 11 July 2023 (UTC)
