Hello,

We are Tom Hiddleston's authorised representatives (IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/company/co0507297/?ref_=fn_al_co_1; Website: http://www.prosperpr.uk/) and we kindly request you to remove the following sentences from the Early Life and Education section:

  • Through his mother, he is a great-grandson of Flag Officer Reginald Servaes, a great-great-grandson of food producer Sir Edmund Vestey, and a distant cousin of German-Austrian actress Dagny Servaes."
  • He stated, "I think I started acting because I found being away at school while my parents were divorcing really distressing."

Those sources are not reliable and we’ve been asked to remove those “facts".

Thank you.

HelgaGreggio (talk) 14:02, 4 March 2015 (UTC)

Done @HelgaGreggio: Removed Dagny Servaes as it wasn't sourced at all but kept Sir Edmund Vestey as it was sourced by Harper's Bazaar which is considered a reliable source. Removed the statement about his acting as a way through his parents divorce is sourced by Express which isn't reliable. I did however add another quote that was sourced by the Telegraph, which is reliable. LADY LOTUSTALK 14:14, 4 March 2015 (UTC)

Additional info regarding first feature film casting

Thought this might be a nice addition to the beginning of the 'FILM AND TELEVISION' heading. Quote from Lucy Bevan Casting Director of Tom's first feature film 'Unrelated':

"I remember seeing Tom Hiddleston at RADA and I’ve cast in his first film soon after that – Joanna Hogg’s film called “Unrelated”. There was just a fantastic confidence about him"

Source: http://filmdoctor.co.uk/2015/03/18/in-conversation-lucy-bevan-casting-director-cinderella-maleficent-an-education/

So to read:

On graduating from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art Hiddleston won his first film role, playing Oakley in Joanna Hogg’s first feature, Unrelated, his sister Emma also appeared in the film. Casting Director, Lucy Bevan, who cast him in the film said "There was just a fantastic confidence about him". He also appeared in the leading role of Edward in Joanna Hogg's second feature, Archipelago. ETC ETC

In the Awards and Nominations section there is one nomination missing: in 2008 Tom Hiddleston was nominated for the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Newcomer in a Play for his role as Cassio in the Donmar Warehouse production of Othello(2007) as can be verified in this article: http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Laurence_Olivier_Award_for_Best_Newcomer_in_a_Play. This nomination is also mentioned in the following article http://www.officiallondontheatre.co.uk/news/latest-news/article/item71354/tom-hiddleston-declared-2008s-best-newcomer-in-a-play/ Please add this information to the page. That raises a question, if someone is nominated twice for the same award but wins on of them, should both be listed or just the win? I think it may be better to just list the win. What do others think? Stickee (talk) 23:12, 3 August 2015 (UTC)

Which image should be in the infobox? Choice #2 is the current photo, #1 is the photo that was in the infobox since December 11 2016 but was reverted on January 4 2017 here. #3 is another option that has not been in the article or infobox previously. -- WV 18:48, 4 January 2017 (UTC)

Choices

#1
#2
#3
Infobox images to choose from

Choice #1

  • Support as second choice. Image this was derived from is too dark and the cropping to large for the infobox, coloring is not optimal, even with fixes applied. Although it is not the best kind of view for an infobox image per MOS (infobox images are less preferred if taken from an angle and looking upward at the subject), this photo is an improvement on the original (image choice #2) with the closer crop and retouching. -- WV 18:57, 4 January 2017 (UTC)

  • Support as second choice. I agree with Winkelvi's logic, and while it actually I think it very well cropped and framed, he looks a little bit manic. Preferable to choice #2, however, due to cropping. Yvarta (talk) 20:27, 7 January 2017 (UTC)

Choice #2

Choice #3

  • Support as first choice - I very much like the cropping, and it is well-suited for an infobox. I am not particularly fond of the photo itself, however. The lighting is striking from an odd angle, seems to, creating some odd colors around his eyes and face. But we can't be too picky, since of course free options are always limited for us. Yvarta (talk) 20:29, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
  • Support - Even though he isn't smiling, as he is in the other two options, #3 is more suitable for an infobox and his expression is neutral. The lighting is also slightly better. Meatsgains (talk) 15:56, 10 January 2017 (UTC)

Please change the name 'Henry IV Part I and Part II' to the Hollow Crown in the Television column because I think that's the correct name for the series and if it's not, I apologize. Could you however add it? Because the actor definitely played in a series called The Hollow Crown in 2012. Thank you for reviewing my request. Anampenca (talk) 00:19, 8 May 2017 (UTC)

Choices

Infobox images to choose from

Choice #1

  • Support - much superior photograph, he's smiling and you can see his eyes and his skin looks clear. In photo #2, he's not smiling, squinty eyes and his skin looks blotchy (really bad). Isaidnoway (talk) 20:08, 7 December 2017 (UTC)
  • Support
    Option 3
Is this still being discussed? I would go with this one because the other photo has him squinting, so I don’t think it’s a good representation of him. Or perhaps a third option? LADY LOTUSTALK 23:30, 12 January 2018 (UTC)

Choice #2

  • Support Still the best choice since RfC and consensus in January 2017. #1 is a little newer, but that's never been an accepted rationale for infobox image placement. What's more, #1 has the horrid foreground of a water bottle and microphone. Definitely not optimal for an infobox image. -- ψλ 04:00, 2 December 2017 (UTC)

Is there any way we can change the infobox image? The current photo is a little shadowy and somewhat unflattering (he's squinting/not smiling). Something like this (he's smiling), or this (much more recent photo than any on this page), or even this could be better. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dustyperiwinkle (talkcontribs) 13:18, 5 January 2019 (UTC)

Support #2 since it's more recent and more representative of him. Oppose #1 since it's a bit outdated (from 2013) and per your reasons above (not a good representation, squinting, looks pinched) and Oppose #3 because of the microphone. Someone963852 (talk) 01:45, 10 November 2019 (UTC)

Hiddleston has been more cautious about revealing details of his personal life since that relationship ended. There isn't anything currently reported by reliable sources (as opposed to gossip sites). Pawnkingthree (talk) 10:52, 20 July 2021 (UTC)

I know it was just a rumor before, but a few days ago, Tom and Zawe Ashton were seen acting very much like a couple on the beach (kissing) and there were pictures on several sites. I posted this, however it got taken down. I’m not sure how much more obvious it can get that they actually are together; but apparently that is not enough for certain people on here. 🙄 Ironic considering I seem to recall this page was updated rather quickly when he was first seen with Taylor. Zigur80 (talk) 00:33, 18 September 2021 (UTC)

They also went to the Tony Awards together, and sat together when other Betrayal cast and the director sat elsewhere, including a photo together inside the theater. It was covered by several reliable news outlets, including People Magazine, which is included on the list of reliable sources. As you said, I'm not sure what could make it more obvious. waitwhat81 (talk) 00:13, 30 September 2021 (UTC)

False Rumours about the Romantic Relationship between Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton.

The Rumours of them as a Couple are False.

Just because they have been seen close together - they just have a close Friendship.

Not " Romantically Involved ".

Just because she has been seen wearing a ring on her Wedding finger doesn't mean they are Engaged.

Lots of women wear Non Engagement rings on their Wedding Finger because they will have small / large fingers - regular rings / non Engagement rings can't be worn on their other fingers.

And the Press saying they were living together in Atlanta, US while Tom was filming LOKI series in July 2020.

The previous US President introduced a ' UK to US Travel Ban ' in March 2020 meaning UK residents wouldn't have been allowed to travel to the US.

Even if the Travel Ban was lifted - Travel for Essential Reasons : Work / Medical

For Work : Only to meet people you are working with.

And not for Friends, Family, Partners - who were not allowed to visit and stay in that country.

And in the UK there are COVID restrictions on Social Distancing.

As well as in the US..

Meaning that when TV + Film Production was allowed to restart - Everyone working in Production had to work in a ' COVID Bubble ' which meant they could meet with people they were working with 86.152.182.84 (talk) 18:53, 5 February 2022 (UTC)
