The lead section ends with the words "into his native Xhosa language". As the article stands now the very next sentence is "Soga was Xhosa". If his native language was Xhose it os obvious he was part of the Xhosa people. It just does not need to be said again. Alos the words "Soga was Xhosa" is unidiomatic in the South African context. There are better, more sensitive ways of saying it, if it needed to be said, but it doesn't, so I would prefer if the words "Soga was Xhosa" we just left out, as they have been said already and saying it again gives WP:UNDUE weight to the issue of his tribal affiliation, it wasn't the most important thing about him. Waynejayes, totally open to expressing it however, but if you think 'in his native Xhosa language' is enough to definitively say a person is xhosa, that's fine, we can get rid of it. My original concern is at List of Xhosa people, which is just almost unsourced, and I was starting through the list, going to the articles, and often finding that some of them don't mention being Xhosa AT ALL, so I was looking for sources that indicated they were indeed to be included on that list. --valereee (talk) 14:02, 18 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
