Naming format

[edit]

Can contributors to this article please check out and comment on http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Talk:Time_zone#Time_zone_article_naming_format regarding article names? -- Chuq 04:44, 19 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Other countries on NZST

[edit]

As other countries than NZ use UTC+12 (Marshall Islands, etc.), could we at least use a different page to collect them? samwaltz 08:45, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

like UTC+12 perhaps? - SimonLyall 09:41, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • cough* *blush* *cough*

Ummm... then should we redirect NZST to UTC+12? samwaltz 10:02, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think so. This article mentions what act defines NZST, a detail that would be out of place on UTC+12. And we link fairly prominently to UTC+12, in case anyone wants to go there. -- Avenue 10:44, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Current time

[edit]

This is wrong. Its near midnight on the 4th Nov and the page suggested it was afternoon on the 3rd. Someone needs to see if it can be fixed, otherwise link to some world time date website... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.97.170.20 (talk) 09:58, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Users who are logged in to Wikipedia get the correct time, but anon users get a cached copy, which was about an hour out of date when I tried it just now. Anon users must hit the "purge" link to get an up to date version of the page. I agree this is unsatisfactory. Other "Time in ..." articles do not attempt to give the current time; any objections if I remove the current time from this article?-gadfium 19:22, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The current time is also wrong because today (Nov 3, 2014) it says the current time is NZST, yet the article says daylight saving time starts in November. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:981:4B0C:1:DAA2:5EFF:FE8E:C8D8 (talk) 20:26, 3 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going re-integrate Daylight saving time in New Zealand and redirect unless someone objects. It has insufficient references and context to stand on it's own.

Done. -- Alan Liefting (talk - contribs) 00:44, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Purge doesn't work and where are the times for standard/daylight cross over? The most important information and it's either missing or buried. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 115.188.135.11 (talk) 18:45, 31 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

"Timekeeping in Te Ara – the Encyclopedia of New Zealand" is currently 404. 94.30.84.71 (talk) 21:03, 5 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

All fixed. In the future, don't be afraid to fix these types of things yourself. +mt 23:22, 5 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Aotearoa Daylight Time

[edit]

Aotearoa Standard Time = New Zealand Standard Time.

Aotearoa Daylight Time = New Zealand Daylight Time.

Wellington, Aotearoa. Auckland, Aotearoa. Dunedin, Aotearoa. Christchurch, Aotearoa.

Apply these.

But name New Zealand is the main name. Aotearoa is second.

Pass all this to NZ/Aotearoan Parliament. Nathkogashiwa (talk) 02:54, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
