Pagename
[edit]Wouldn't it be easier to find this page if the parenthesis contained his job or Upper Canada, as what the pagename stands for now is tough to remember and write correctly IMOwnO. Lincher 12:22, 6 December 2005 (UTC) Done

[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: Move. Thomas Scott (judge) will redirect to Thomas Scott, while Thomas Scott (Ohio) will move to Thomas Scott (Ohio judge). Cúchullain t/c 14:48, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
Thomas Scott (judge) → Thomas Scott (Canadian judge) – Thomas Scott (Ohio) is also a judge, of the Ohio Supreme Court. Move to disambiguate. bd2412 T 21:02, 27 December 2016 (UTC)
- Support per nomination, with the other steps (Thomas Scott (Ohio) moved to a form with analogous qualifier, Thomas Scott (U.S. judge), and Thomas Scott (judge) becoming a redirect to Thomas Scott) subsequently following. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 08:09, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
- Support per nominator and Roman Spinner. Thomas Scott (Ohio) sounds like a location and should be moved to Thomas Scott (U.S. judge) or the like. I'd note there are quite a few links to the Canadian (historical Chief Justice for Upper Canada) that'll have to be updated. Reidgreg (talk) 16:05, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
- Thomas E. Scott, Jr. is also a U.S. judge; Thomas Scott (Ohio judge) would work. bd2412 T 16:30, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
- Comment. A related nomination is also being discussed at Talk:Thomas E. Scott, Jr.#Requested move 28 December 2016. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 19:12, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
- Support per nomination, including retitling the Ohio judge's article and related redirect adjustments. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 14:13, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
