Another out-of-process page move by User:Mistico Dois. See [1] and [2]. Asking that you PLEASE consult before off the cuff moves - otherwise your editing is very solid, we badly need good category editors for example; am just aggrieved with this one aspect. This is the English language Wikipedia. I am using the norm in the English language for naming artworks. I have created several entries and have used the same naming for artworks, including for Spanish artists, and I don't think it makes sense to use double standards for Goya or other artists. I can point plenty of English language books of Goya that use the English language norm. I advise you to please use a more respecftul language, because my edits were all made in good faith. I never used it in titles that for some reasons are kept in the Spanish language.Mistico Dois (talk) 22:26, 26 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
With "respect", the lead now reads This is Worse (Spanish: Esto es peor)...note the caps difference, and I provided major holding museums in countries speaking English that do not capitalise worse. Respect, which is different to civility, is earned not given and competence is required. Ceoil (talk) 22:31, 26 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The point is you didn't consult. You made an unilaterial decision, that now needs an admin to repair. I find that disrespectful. Ceoil (talk) 22:38, 26 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am sorry, then, since I see you started these entries. It wasn't remotely my intention to disrespect anyone, just to make all the titles capitalized in the same form. Since I see if bothers you, you can bring the titles back to the previous forms. But don't be surprised if this question resurfaces in the future.Mistico Dois (talk) 22:40, 26 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the non-apology apology. I don't really care about this instance, but do worry about your approach. As said, its the 2nd time this week we have clashed on articles of mine you moved that I disagree with. I could let it drop if you open page move discussions going forward. But just to say, I find your jusdement and lack of rational questionable, and will be watching, so please, please consult. Ceoil (talk) 22:54, 26 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The disprecpt is really around the presumption that I have to clean up your mess - "if it bothers you, you can bring the titles back to the previous forms". Im not an admin, but you could care less and expect me to bid on noticeboards. That's shockingly cavalier. Ceoil (talk) 00:12, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I didn`t make a mess (sic). I didn`t changed titles names, just capitalize them. Countless editors have done similar work. I am a bit surprised that you didn`t know that its now easy to move the title to the previous form. Its done now.Mistico Dois (talk) 00:47, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
