Reverend versus Reverend Mr.
[edit]I think the use of Reverend Mr. is more of a English usage. New England usage doesn't often use the "Mr."
Compare book searches for "Reverend William Emerson" versus "Reverend Mr. William Emerson". WikiParker (talk) 17:01, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
- I agree that to my ears (eyes?), "Reverend Mr." seems very nonstandard. --Midnightdreary (talk) 21:26, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
- I reduced the use of both the the styles Mr. and Rev. Accidently hit the submit button instead of the check differences button so the edit reason does not appear in the edit history. WikiParker (talk) 13:16, 25 March 2017 (UTC)
The hole in the House
[edit]Taking a tour of the house in 2001, we were shown an unrepaired hole in the side facing the site of the Battle of Concord 1775
The guide told us it was a bullet hole
I see no mention of it here — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:1C2:4E02:9580:45C5:5C90:B8E7:D8B6 (talk) 20:46, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for the comment! It would need a published source to be included here, otherwise it's just anecdotal. See WP:V, WP:RS, and WP:OR. --Midnightdreary (talk) 23:25, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
