What book is this actually based on?

[edit]
  • In the lede, we say (without citation) "based on the 2014 book Churchill's Secret Warriors: The Explosive True Story of the Special Forces Desperadoes of WWII by Damien Lewis."
  • In the production section, we say (with citation) "acquired the rights to Damien Lewis's book The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare: How Churchill's Secret Warriors Set Europe Ablaze and Gave Birth to Modern Black Ops"
  • It's possible it's BOTH, but we should resolve the discrepancy, at minimum.

Historical Accuracy

[edit]

The fact that this movie is based on real incidents and real events cries out for a section discussing how close the movie follows historical fact, and what parts are fictional and what is implausible/impossible from a historical perspective. It would be a great addition if someone could track down (or even procure!) feedback from historians of this period. 73.255.248.150 (talk) 18:47, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Name and Origin of trawler

[edit]

The current version gives the name as Maid of Honor but the dialog in the movie AND historical record of the actual operation give the name as MAID HONOR, additionally, it currently gives its origin as Sweden (based it seems, on Lassen's claim of being Swedish at the opening of the movie) but the historical record gives its origin as Brixham in Devon, England, and given it has a distinctly British sounding name it seems unlikely the intention is that the boat itself is meant to be of Swedish origin. 50.237.218.142 (talk) 18:25, 6 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
