[edit]@Adamstom.97: Add archive links to the appropriate sources using the iabot tool; Also there are 5 URLs that are redirects, update them. Vestrian24Bio (TALK) 12:31, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for taking on this review Vestrian24Bio. I ran the IABot tool to see what had been missed and the only sources it picked up were video and podcast sources. I didn't see the redirecting URLs using the link classifier tool, do you have another way of identifying those? - adamstom97 (talk) 13:05, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
- This might help... Vestrian24Bio (TALK) 13:13, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the link, I have updated the redirects except for this URL which was already marked as dead. - adamstom97 (talk) 14:41, 2 January 2025 (UTC)

- Add an alt text to the infobox image.
- Done - adamstom97 (talk) 16:43, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- In the "Cast and characters" sub-sections, it should be "Main" and "Recurring".
- Those labels do not apply to this series as it does not use the standard starring/guest star credits. This current approach still aligns with the guidelines at MOS:TVCAST even though they are not standard. See Talk:The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power/Archive 10#Approach to the cast lists if you want more details on the decision making behind this. - adamstom97 (talk) 16:43, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- Shouldn't young Galadriel be placed next to Galadriel with an increased indent...
- She isn't a starring cast member, I would only expect that to happen if she was also a starring cast member and belonged under the Starring heading. - adamstom97 (talk) 16:43, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- The "Design" section should be renamed as "Production design".
- This covers all design elements for the series, for example costumes and prosthetics, not just production design. - adamstom97 (talk) 16:43, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- References (as of this rev)
- Are refs 100, 103, 106, 112 and 133 needed? (tweets and YT) couldn't they be replaced by a better source.
- I have removed 103 as that info was already covered, and I have replaced 112 and 133 with better sources. 100 and 106 may be videos on YouTube but they are direct interviews with the creative team and have some good bits that aren't covered by other sources. - adamstom97 (talk) 16:43, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- Are refs 15, 52, 175, 176, 201, 252, 295-4 and 298-4 reliable? couldn't they be replaced by a better RS.
- I have removed or replaced all of these except for 201, as Mendelson is a good source for commentary who is covered by the SME exception at WP:FORBESCON, and 176/252 which are both reliable sources per WP:ROLLINGSTONECULTURE (they don't fall under the other Rolling Stone sections marked as not reliable at WP:RSPS). - adamstom97 (talk) 16:43, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- Refs 265, 315 and 317 are unreliable.
- I have removed / replaced these. - adamstom97 (talk) 16:43, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- Are refs 100, 103, 106, 112 and 133 needed? (tweets and YT) couldn't they be replaced by a better source.
- Bayona's image should be kept adjacent to the 3rd paragraph instead of the 2nd.
- Done - adamstom97 (talk) 16:43, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- Instead of
{{Main|List of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power characters{{!}}List of ''The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power'' characters}}
, it could be{{Main|List of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power characters|l1 = List of ''The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power'' characters}}

- I have responded to each point above. - adamstom97 (talk) 16:43, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Adamstom.97: EARWIG shows 56.4% - violation possible (not sure what that's supposed to be, just mentioning that). Vestrian24Bio 12:22, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
- Those possible violations are mostly based on repeated uses of the series' title in this article and those other web pages, plus some key phrases and cast members, etc. The tool isn't picking up long quotes or anything like that which we would want to address. - adamstom97 (talk) 12:39, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
- Remove the redundant "upright" option from 4 images (Bayona, Vickers, Colbert and Clark).
- It isn't redundant, it reduces the size of the images so they are not the default width. This is standard for images that are taller/narrower than others, such as portraits, as discussed at MOS:UPRIGHT and H:PICTURES. Removing the option would make those 4 images look way too big compared to the rest. - adamstom97 (talk) 10:36, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Adamstom.97: The upright option works when it has a scaling factor defined (
|upright=scaling factor
). but, currently none of them have a scaling factor defined and that kind of usage has been deprecated, so it does nothing, so... Vestrian24Bio 10:50, 9 January 2025 (UTC)- I see, MOS:UPRIGHT says it is deprecated to avoid confusion. It does actually work on a technical level, just putting "upright" 100% reduces the image size to 0.75 of the standard. But if it is deprecated in the sense that it is discouraged, I can use the explicit alternative
|upright=0.75
to achieve the same end result while avoiding any confusion. - adamstom97 (talk) 11:49, 9 January 2025 (UTC)- Yeah, I just tested it; anyways it's good this way. Vestrian24Bio 12:00, 9 January 2025 (UTC)

- Vickers's image should be kept adjacent to the 2nd paragraph instead of the 1st.

- Last sentence of second paragraph in the casting section,
where they were portrayed by Harry Sinclair, Peter McKenzie, and Mark Ferguson respectively

newcomer Ian Blackburn
- what does newcomer supposed to mean...- It means this is his first project. I thought this was called out in the source but it isn't there, so I have removed it. - adamstom97 (talk) 10:36, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- In the "Cultures of Middle-earth" section,
Avery designed the city of Númenor in three layers...
- 1) initial Elvish-inspired architecture; 2) "anti-Elvish" changes; which is the third layer?- the sentence has three parts:
Avery designed the city of Númenor in three layers: (1) initial Elvish-inspired architecture; (2) more "Mannish" designs as the Númenóreans developed their own culture; and (3) "anti-Elvish" changes since the Númenóreans cut ties with Elves.
- adamstom97 (talk) 10:36, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- the sentence has three parts:
- In the "Production controversies" section,
16,200 days of stunt work
- clarify.- Done - adamstom97 (talk) 10:36, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- The entire second paragraph of the "Production controversies" section has only one ref.
- The paragraph is about that Guardian story and Amazon's response to it. There are other sources that picked up on the report but I didn't see any that added anything that we would want to include here. - adamstom97 (talk) 10:36, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- Why the title on {{Infobox album}} isn't italicized?
- We had to set the italic_title option to no because it was trying to override the season infobox, and forgot to manually adjust the title in the album infobox so it was still italicised. I have fixed this now. - adamstom97 (talk) 10:36, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- First paragraph of the "Marketing" section, how many views did the Super Bowl teaser have in 24 hours - 80.34M or 257M?
- Different numbers were reported by different analytics companies. I have adjusted the wording to clarify. - adamstom97 (talk) 10:36, 9 January 2025 (UTC)

- I have responded to each point above. - adamstom97 (talk) 10:36, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- In the "Critical response" section, Clark's image should be kept adjacent to the 2nd paragraph instead of the 1st.
- Done - adamstom97 (talk) 14:58, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- Use the {{Rotten Tomatoes prose}} template and maybe the {{Metacritic film prose}} template as well (not sure if the latter would work here).
- The specific wording for Rotten Tomatoes that we have was determined by talk page consensus after some contentious editing, so I don't think we should change it to the template's prose. - adamstom97 (talk) 14:58, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
Ed Power from the Irish Times and the Daily Telegraph...
- same guy writing for both magazines...?- Yeah, he seems to write for a few different publications. - adamstom97 (talk) 14:58, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- The 3rd paragraph only has 2 sentences; shouldn't it be put together with the 2nd paragraph.
- Done - adamstom97 (talk) 14:58, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- Also, refs in the "Critical response" section (2nd & 3rd paragraphs specifically) seems like WP:OVERKILL - needs a bit-of clean-up.
- I have limited the groupings to three in-line citations maximum, I think that is reasonable. - adamstom97 (talk) 14:58, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- Meanwhile, the "Audience response" section (1st paragraph specifically) should have more citations.
- Done - adamstom97 (talk) 14:58, 9 January 2025 (UTC)

- I have responded to each point above. - adamstom97 (talk) 14:58, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- In the "Casting backlash" section,
"Evil is not able to create anything new, it can only distort and destroy what has been invented or made by the forces of good."
- additional refs needed.- Done - adamstom97 (talk) 11:49, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
- 3rd paragraph of the "Casting backlash" section needs more citations.
- I have added two more sources to the first sentence's ref bundle. I don't see anything else in the paragraph that requires additional citations. - adamstom97 (talk) 11:49, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
- Is the explanation about the ReFrame Stamp needed here?
- I have cut this down. - adamstom97 (talk) 11:49, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
- Maybe add an image of Felicia Day to the "Companion media" section (align to the left side).
- Done - adamstom97 (talk) 11:49, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
- Align images,
- Colbert's image to the right side, adjacent to the 4th paragraph.
- Done - adamstom97 (talk) 11:49, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
- Clark's image to the left side.
- Done - adamstom97 (talk) 11:49, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
- Image in the "Casting backlash" section to the right side, adjacent to the 3rd paragraph.
- Done - adamstom97 (talk) 11:49, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
- Colbert's image to the right side, adjacent to the 4th paragraph.
- In the accolades table,
- Add a caption for the table.
- Done - adamstom97 (talk) 11:49, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
- Add
data-sort-type=date
to the Date of Ceremony header.- I tried this but it broke the date sorting. - adamstom97 (talk) 11:49, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
- "Astra Creative Arts TV Awards" should be placed above "Astra TV Awards".
- Done - adamstom97 (talk) 11:49, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
- The "IFMCA Award Winners 2022" source is dated February 23, 2023, but the event is dated as July 18, 2023 - when did it actually take place.
- February 23, not sure what happened there. I have corrected it. - adamstom97 (talk) 11:49, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
- "People's Choice Awards" were held on December 6.
- Fixed - adamstom97 (talk) 11:49, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
- Add a caption for the table.
- Source spot-check: pass
That's all. Vestrian24Bio 04:59, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
- I have responded to each point above. - adamstom97 (talk) 11:49, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
