It was formed in January 2001 by four performing artists - Matt Constain, Abigail Yeates, Corinne Pierre and Sean Kempton, all of whom had performed in the [[Millennium Dome Show]], which was part of the ‘Millennium Experience’. The company’s debut production was ‘Storm’ which ran from 18 December 2002 till January 4 2003 at the [[Barbican Centre]], and went on to tour the rest of the UK and Europe. ‘Storm’ was a highly energetic show creating a fuse of circus and theatre and with a cast of 25 aerial performers, acrobats, comedians, dancers and musicians. The show's narrative followed a group of strangers going about their day in the hustle and bustle of the London metropolis. As the story develops each of the characters become more embroiled and frantic in their movements as the storm looms ever closer their way - causing chaos and mayhem. The creative team behind 'Storm' included all four founding members of the Generating Company - who all co-directed the show. Mark Fisher who has designed shows for some of the worlds biggest artists including [[The Rolling Stones]], [[Janet Jackson]], [[Pink Floyd]] and [[U2]], as well as being Creative Director for the [[Millennium Dome Show]] was Production Designer. Producer -Paul Cockle, who was former Production Manager for the [[Millennium Dome Show]] and Composer Akintayo Akinbode. The production received very positive reviews from the critics and audiences alike and was praised for encouraging a fresh young audience into the theatres and making headway to putting British Circus Performance on the map. The Generating Company have since gone on to develop further productions including ‘Gangstars’, which premiered at [[The Circus Space]] and went on to tour the UK in 2002. A show set in the world of the American Gangster, very much influenced much by [[Al Capone]]'s Chicago. The story follows the adventures of Fergus – an innocent immigrant who gets thrown into a world of tumbling gangsters and flying floosies, and unwittingly becomes embroiled in the Gangster world of deception and intrigue. 'Lactic Acid' which previewed at the Bonnie Bird Theatre, [[Laban]] on 27, 28 & 29 November 2003, and started it’s tour of the UK at the [[Bloomsbury Theatre]] in September 2005. Lactic Acid was a performance about the body, utilizing circus skills, movement quality, projection and dance aesthetics. <blockquote>"My aim for the performance is to create a physical illustration of the metabolic functions that produce Lactic Acid my illustrative tool being the genre of circus and dance" - Director Abigail Yeates.</blockquote> The Generating Company featured on [[BBC Two]]’s TV program [[Dragons' Den (UK)|Dragons' Den]] on the 13th December 2005. Incorrect/Scam Hyperlink

Sorry I didn't feel confident removing! I stumbled across the hyperlink which appears to be linking to some kind of unsecured scam website? Website is completely unrelated to the Generating Company, although I did not stay on it long to take note of any details.
