[edit]I agree to all split-suggestions. Stub or not, those topics deserve to be their own articles. — Mütze 17:17, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- I'm doing the split. The tags have been up for a month, and there have been no objections-Elizabennet 02:07, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
I think we should think about a spoiler tag. ~~ —Preceding unsigned comment added by Squanderdalfast (talk • contribs) 22:59, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Similar plots?
[edit]Is there a name for these movies with sociopathic children? Besides this book & movie, I'm thinking of Orphan, The Good Son, and a Law and Order episode called "Conscience". --TMC1221 (talk) 05:56, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
Plot Summary
[edit]The plot given is pretty sloppy. Why is a mother wondering if her child is adopted? If the girl is the daughter of an infamous serial killer, why is her lack of conscience compared to her grandmother? The girl's victims are named, but the names mean nothing because we don't know who these people are. If someone else knows the story of the book, you can definitely help with this article. --Vyran (talk) 19:40, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
I agree, it also talks about two characters and never actually states their relationship. I'm not even sure that one is the other's mother, or which is which? Very confusing. 96.233.108.221 (talk) 00:44, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
Comments
[edit]This is an improvement over the initial stub. A considerable improvement. You might consider summarizing the story more concisely, rather than in separate sections chapters 1-3, etc. Perhaps organize it by plot structure, rather than chapter. See this Plot (narrative) for ideas. Auntieruth55 (talk) 17:00, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
It will be interesting to read more of this article when it gets completed. I know you are not finished yet and are probably adding a lot more but I thought it might be interesting if you added more about the history of the play, like the reactions it received from the public and how many copies it sold when it became popular after his death. Also, you could add more information about the popularity of the movie and the play. Is the play performed often? Are the play and movie known worldwide? Rudy4rachel (talk) 18:33, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
This article has been very useful because my partner and I are also working on a book review. The list of the characters has been an inspiration for us to incorprate them in our article as well. However, a review instead of the plot summary and history would be more desirable. How is this book influential in the society it is set in? How has it affected the world and the people in that time period? Have the events shaped our world today? Just a few suggestions... but great job! Nicocorn20 (talk) 16:11, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
Thank You all for your suggestions! I greatly appreciate them. I will try to incorporate each of the suggestions you have listed (provided that I find a source with credentials). I am happy that the article has helped give inspiration. The novel is phenomenal and worth anyone’s time to read. Please continue to leave any concerns or suggestions that will help with the article.DaisyPearlTT (talk) 14:50, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
To attain B-class and GA-class
[edit]The article is a good start, but it needs some help if it is to make it to B-class and then to GA-class. We need more information on the plot, not too much mind you, but more than what has been currently said. The character section needs to be expanded upon, and if at all possible try and include the actors and the roles in the film. In a perfect world, some of these characters will have articles on wikipedia already, if that is the case then you can leave a short description and note that more info can be found at the character's own page. The section on the film versions and the Broadway play need more information on the actual people in them if at all possible, and the entire article needs citations - preferably inline - before the article will be certified as B-class and thus eligible for GA-class. TomStar81 (Talk) 08:34, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
"Daisy", the plot summary and characters don't need citations, unless your listing of the characters includes interpretation of their role, and then you would need to cite that to a literary source. The material that was there prior to your editing needs citations too. That should be doable. There are also guidelines in the novels project, on what goes where and how to do do it. Auntieruth55 (talk) 16:53, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
- Daisy, I just reversed your edit. You have to nominate your article for GA a different way. Go to the page Nominations and following the instructions to add your article for consideration. Articles that pass GA review will be listed by the reviewer on the GA articles page. Easy mistake to make. Auntieruth55 (talk) 17:11, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
- Thank You Auntie Ruth! I thought I might have made a mistake, I wasn't sure. I also listed myself on the wikki project novels request for reviews as well. I have found many pictures I can use in the public domain, but I am having difficulty applying them to my page. I looked to February Shadows for an example, but have yet to been able to properly place a picture on my article. could you please help? Thank You! DaisyPearlTT (talk) 17:39, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
Peer Review
[edit]Hi I am responding to your peer review request. To get this article up to B or GA status consider the following:
- Diversify the sources, the more you have, the more sure you will be that you have covered all the scholarship
- Try summarizing the whole of the plot, not just a tag that grabs the interest of the reader.
- The themes section should include themes identified by reviewers not Original Research
- Check out Wikipedia:WikiProject Novels/Style guidelines for ideas on how to increase Real world information.
Hope these ideas help, Sadads (talk) 14:53, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
Trivia
[edit]Maybe under this title someone could include Nick Cave naming his band "Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds" after the novel? -Monsieur Anonymous —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.216.72.176 (talk) 01:14, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
