Coordinate error
[edit]{{geodata-check}}
The coordinates for Tell Taya need the following fixes: The site shown currently is very incorrect - it should be as follows:
36°19'57.33" N 42°29'36.50" E
This correct location is the actual small tell at the centre of this circa 1.5 sq km site, which is visible as a distinct grey shade over the land around - a consequence of the stone remains of the copius buildings preventing ploughing.
- Though the coords currently in the article — 36°11′N 42°43′E / 36.183°N 42.717°E — are repeated in quite a few places around the web, sometimes with the annotation "imprecise coordinates" e.g., the coordinates given above are confirmed within 660-670 meters in an academic source: Burleigh, Richard, et al. "British Museum Natural Radiocarbon Measurements XVII." Radiocarbon, Vol. 26, No. 1, 1984, p. 68. PDF p. 74 retrieved 22 March 2010. I'm changing them for that reason. — TRANSPORTERMAN (TALK) 20:18, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
