Some Eminent Behar contemporaries

[edit]

@Sitush I have been trying to find a decent source with which to improve this article. I have found the 1944 book "Some Eminent Behar Contemporaries" by Sachchidananda Sinha gives a very detailed breakdown of his career in a few pages. Would you consider it a reliable source to use? The book is available on this government website if you need to check it: https://www.indianculture.gov.in/other-collections/some-eminent-behar-contemporaries

@Ixudi Probably not, unfortunately. I can see his entry in Who's Who but it's not really anything we don't already say. Surprisingly, there is no obituary in The Times (London), although there are a few reports that mention him. Also, no entry in the DNB, even though he was knighted.
I think it is likely to be a construction job, gathering together short mentions that appear in reliable sources & building a career picture that way. There do seem to be quite a few hits on GBooks.
(I'm not saying it applies in this case but biographies published in India - even modern "potted" ones which find their way into newspapers - tend to be hagiography, which isn't great.) - Sitush (talk) 16:52, 29 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
