Summit?
[edit]Funny, I've lived in this area all my life (50+ years), never once have I heard it referred to as "Summit, CA." Also, the Summit Rd. area and Loma Prieta are pretty much two distinctly different places, miles apart. This term is far too vague IMO, to describe an area which is made up of several other smaller communities which ARE properly and historically named and can be found on legitimate published maps. This certainly doesn't qualify to be called "an unincorporated area" any more that "Red Mountain" or "Sweet Leaf" does, if you ask me. I'd like to see some documentation other than wiki on this one as to the authenticity of this name. I'd also hasten to point out that both Loma Prieta and almost all of Summit Rd. lie in Santa Clara county, mailing address of Los Gatos, CA--not Santa CruzRagreen (talk) 00:29, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
- I've been searching for reference of that place name on USGS maps and only find that reference on "Summit Rd." and "Old Summit Road". That looks too far to tipify Summit as a populated place. Bestiasonica (talk) 05:12, 21 October 2022 (UTC)
