Is the author Sudarshan Kapur the same person as Sudarshan Kapoor?
[edit]Recent conflicting edits pose the question: Is author Kapur of Raising Up a Prophet the retired professor at Fresno State, Kapoor? The initial delete's try at substantiation failed, so the deletions were reversed. After, to confirm my notion, a brief search was made: to my surprise! Some relevant but inconclusive material indicate: NOT the same person. Hence, this Talk page entry. Also a further edit, which directs here. Elfelix (talk) 20:24, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
Proposed split of article: Kapoor; and Kapur
[edit]Today received a message from FireflyBot about an existing draft article Draft: Sudarshan Kapur. This draft article began as a REDIRECT, but has since been repurposed to note the career of Prof. Kapur of Colorado. The Naropa University link in Draft talk:Sudarshan Kapur contributed by Jennifer Coulter Stapleton indicates the connection between Prof. Kapur and the book Raising Up a Prophet. Hence the following proposal.
If no opposing comments are posted here by May 28, 2024, the following edits will be performed. Split off from this article will be portions now believed to concern Prof. Kapur of Colorado. These portions chiefly refer to his book, Raising Up a Prophet (convincingly shown thanks to Jennifer Coulter Stapleton). The remainder will then stand as the presently titled article, Sudarshan Kapoor. The split off portion will be combined with the existing draft article, which includes a much fuller account of Prof. Kapur's writings, to form the new article Sudarshan Kapur.
